About this piece

A real Morpho butterfly specimen, fossilized in solid sterling silver through Haft’s lost organic casting process. The metal takes the place of the original, so every vein, scale line and edge of the wing is preserved exactly as nature made it.

Finished by hand in Seafoam Patina, this is a one-of-one piece: because each wing is a unique specimen, no two Meta of Haft pieces will ever be the same.

Care for your patina

Patinas are a hand-applied surface finish. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, and avoid silver dips, polishing cloths and harsh chemicals on the coloured areas. Take it off before swimming or showering, and store it on its own so it isn’t scratched.

The Statement Morpho Wing pieces can be made as a brooch, earring or pendant. Choose your setting from the menu on that piece’s page before adding to cart. For any other setting, request a custom order and the studio will follow up.
